An example of "Classic Line Breeding" that has proven highly successful -
Breeding of Altiquin Barak Fenflyer - "Bear"
The bitch Altiquin Barak Fenflyer - "Bear" is "classically line bred", meaning that her dams sire, FTCh. Pocklea Remus + (Stud A) and the sire of her sires dam is also the same stud dog, namely FTCh. Pocklea Remus + (Stud A).
Whilst it is important that the sire of the breeding bitch is a top dog, it is most essential that the dog "Stud A" is of the highest quality in its field.
Experience shows that not only the resultant progeny, in this instance Altiquin Barak Fenflyer - "Bear", prove to be outstanding from a breeding and performance viewpoint, but that when she is bred to a top sire, her progeny, in this case Fenflyer Golden Girl at Thunderlands - "Flo", will also be a further improvement, particularly with regard to the pups having sound temperament, future performance levels and being of an even litter.
